Mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance

Payment protection insurance or PPI has become notorious in the last few years after investigations by the Office of Fair Trading and the Financial Services Authority revealed the cover may have been widely mis-sold. Since the investigations, in 2006, more than 1.5 million customers have made complaints regarding mis-sold payment protection insurance. This figure may sound huge, but when it is considered there are more than 20 million active policies in the UK the figure could continue to rise for many years to come.
